Oh this is a great breakdown, I totally agree. I feel there’s a morality hierarchy that’s akin to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

People benefit from a sense of a family, a sense of community. It helps us feel more secure, both personally and to our loved ones.

I think the more I view things through this lenses the downstream benefits I see.
