Another question.

Why did Covid cause every government to become authoritarian on the directions of the WHO which couldn't even, itself, verify what stance to hold authority on.

Simple. They didn't know how bad the virus could or could not get ahead of time before it went through several iterations of mutations and wide spread infections. It's the same reflex for boarding up the house, huddling up and waiting for the storm to pass. It could be a Category 5, or turn out to be a weaker Category 2, can't guarentee it ahead of time.

Tech is basically just a big political echochamber for the last decade. The camps have been built at the oasis for both sides. Sad.

I couldn't actually get past this websites terrible UI.

The terrible UI of a straight-forward document separated into distinct blocks, paragraphs and charts that are easily read, that scrolls from from top-to-bottom? Yeah, awful.

"How much energy does it take to eat meat? (ignoring the cost to produce the meat into your hands)"

Do people even care about this?

How much energy does it take to download a video on YouTube versus the energy input to keep it all setup and running?

Re: eating meat, plenty of people opt out of eating meat (specifically beef) because of its environmental cost.

I don't know what that has to do with my comment.

If your Steam online status is your sleep and wakeup schedule you've got bigger problems to worry about.

If this is an issue to your friends on a gaming platform, you may want to relax more.

Actually, if the PM2.5 and PM10 are high, you can see it very easily.

If you can't see it, that means the air isn't polluted. Obviously some people confuse fog with smog, or can't see haze in some situations (failure to see).

But it's always there and always visible. You can't have pollutions at that scale and not see them.

America actually has the most generic leader in the world right now. Which is a scary thought.
