> There's hardcore CCP folks, free market Mormons, radical Imams, universalist preachers, the whole lot of them.

Wow it’s exclusively the worst people. Frankly at this point I don’t really care strongly one way or another about the fertility crisis. My future is fucked regardless. I do find it mildly amusing though the these people sperg out so much over the fact that their Ponzi schemes could come to and end.

You people fucked my future and you want me to save that of yours and your family’s? lmao

> There also seems to be a huge fear of submitting “something” that’s not good enough where the preference seems to be “nothing” if they’re worried it’s not good enough.

Companies are still undergoing massive layoff and you have to compete with the entire world now. Of course they’re going to be particular about perfection and not giving off any signals that they could see painting them in a poor light.

Submitting nothing and missing a deadline is probably worse than submitting something. It’s great in the way of good to an extreme.

I would say this trend started in 2019/2020 however.

> Only if you take a sixth-grader's view of geopolitics.

The problem of democracy indeed. Many of these people now yearn to be peasants too. A simpler life for a simpler mind. Perhaps they should be given what they want.

> A rising tide lifts all boats

Indeed. Of course if you don’t have enough money for a boat: You drown.

> Liberal democracy is better than feudalism, I see no reason why our systems of governance can't be improved further.

It took a disease killing a massive portion of the working population to weaken feudalism in Western Europe.

And don’t underestimate the portion of population that yearn to be peasants.

> It took a disease killing a massive portion of the working population to weaken feudalism in Western Europe.

Erm... sure, but I don't see what that has to do with my comment? Transitions between political systems are rarely pleasant and are usually motivated by crisis.

> And don’t underestimate the portion of population that yearn to be peasants.

I don't buy that. People learn submission, it is not inherent to the human mind.

There can be no justice while the streets remain unpainted with the blood of these scum.

> The day Excel gets a serious, domain-aware AI that can actually model workflows, clean data, and automate logic properly, half of these “build vs buy” debates disappear. People will just solve problems where they already work

Best they can do is more adware in windows. Sorry.

> I’ve noticed it California since legalization use has skyrocketed and everyday intelligence seems to have gone through the floor.

True, but I’m still outperforming the raised by iPad kids entering the workforce now. Any intelligence I’ve lost was not going towards anything that mattered anyway.

I do this a lot. It’s usually a pretty embarrassing pause but usually happens when my mind blanks mid sentence or I start talking again after an interruption.

Then again, I’ve never been able to speak well. I feel like my thoughts go too fast for my mouth.
