Most of the time if you're proving residency with such documents you're not a permanent resident and your ID is for foreign country under freedom of movement.
There's a huge difference for example between identity/residency checks in Poland for people who are in PESEL database and people who aren't - and if you're in PESEL, you're going to have polish ID card as well.
There are several people earning their living through Facebook/Instagram and there is a whole marketplace that would impact lots of people. Don't get me wrong, I don't use or like FB in any way but FB disappearing overnight would definitely have drawbacks for lots of people.
Replace Facebook in your post with human trafficking :)
Obvious I'm not serious, and it's popular sentiment here that "Fuck Facebook... Oh but I use Instragram and WhatsApp of course!", but the point was "some people making a living on x" isn't really a great argument for "x is harmful and we might be better without it".
A better wording would be that the aim of decentralization is the option to eliminate the third party. If someone wants to use a third party to transact then he should have the freedom to do so. Similarly, if someone wants to transact with another party directly then this should also be allowed.
Congrats for the effort, I really like the idea and it works wonderfully for some searches.
However, I searched "infiniband" and the results are far away from what I would expect or like to see. Most of the results that appear first are completely unrelated to the topic.
My guess is that there would be an even more negative impact on sales if they would call it 12s. Lots of consumers would assume that only minor improvements were made and would choose not to upgrade.
In greek, the word "ergo" means "work". As a Greek myself, it seems like this etymology is much more common and used.
Similarly, when we say that something is ergonomic, it derives from "ergo" + "nomic" which means distribution of work. Distribution of work typically minimizes fatigue and that's also the meaning when we are talking about ergonomic chairs, keyboards, etc.
What's the limitation on adding additional vertical layers though? One apparent limitation could be that by adding several vertical layers it would require the wire to be longer.
1. Heat doesn't go away with layers and gets harder to cool.
2. These are still layers. You want each layer to be as flat as possible. As the layers deform you lose the ability to cleanly add more layers.
Current lithography is very much based on the notion that everything is flat.
Financial Markets course [0] taught by Robert Shiller (Nobel laureate) is a phenomenal course to understand the basics of financial markets. He explains how financial markets work from an engineering perspective which is an interesting approach in contrast to other similar courses.
I tried this course and found it nearly unwatchable due to the editing. Rapid cuts jump around topics and rooms and days without any transitions and without any logical continuity either. Shiller frequently references things he probably said 5 minutes ago in the actual lecture, but won’t say for 10 more videos in the Coursera edit.
I cannot find anyone else talking about this in the reviews; they are all glowing. Wondering if I’m crazy, if Coursera is glitching just for me, or if no one actually watched the videos.
