The title is more than a bit of a stretch, but interesting none the less.

> the world is actually very hostile

Solely because of greed.

Isn't it just possible he got stuck in the snow?

Not really, no. You'd need an avalanche for that

Based on the pictures of the car, I can't even imagine how you'd get the car stuck there, much less get stuck inside the car.

This was a rural area, but he was a few hundred meters from a big road. Surely he could have just exited the car and walked there.

Time was when the USA was the grown up in the room. I think this will signal that standards are now a lot lower.

I find you can just stick the missing word back in and it says OK.

> unrestrained global power

No, this is just flouting the understandings which support what peace we have in the world. The only people cheering are those who assume this kind of chaos could never touch them. It will end badly.

Tech has it's political side. Try having a discussion about Tesla.

I think where the politics bleed into tech, we should allow the politics to bleed into discussions, staying on topic.

If the Tesla article commenters are talking about ICE, it's a problem.

But just posting political news to the front page sucks. And, thankfully, we have a working system for handling it.

HN has traditionally not let much politics through, and it's the better for it. Some does get through, and that's okay--it's not a moratorium. But I think we should endeavor to keep it pretty limited.

Should we restore "And Then There Were None" to it's original title?

You should change the title to something useful.
