Comcast pulled this on me recently through what I can only describe as malicious bundling.

Internet + shitty "security" software that only runs on their hardware + modem rental is cheaper than internet only + bring your own equipment. You can't buy the cheaper internet+security package without their hardware (or so they claimed).

> they're trying to compare at iso-power?

Yeah they are defining a "rack" as 15kW, though 3x H100 PCIe is only a bit over 1kW. So they are assuming GPUs are <10% of rack power usage which sounds suspiciously low.

Tesla sales peaked in 2023

> In an EV, that ~6 hour round-trip takes about 9 hours due to 2 hours of charging and a 60 mile detour. That's using ABRP, with an Ioniq 5 from Reston VA to Dolly Sods Wilderness and back

That a fairly dead area of the country charger wise but I see several CCS chargers <5 miles out of the way and a lot more if your Ioniq has NACS.

Maybe? I didn't dig beyond ABRP's route suggestion.

> Renault 5 EV charges with 11kW. This is the size of car I need.

AC only EVs dont exist in the US market any more AFAIK. Looking at the Renault 5 models currently available in the UK market, they dont have any AC only models either (maybe they do in other countries though).

What’s your point?

Can Renault 5 EV be charged in 30 min?

> It didn't come with a home charger at all. They're not cheap.

Level 1 EVSE's are super cheap, almost all of them are under $200. They aren't fast (most are 1.44kW), but that doesnt really matter if you are parked at home for 12+ hours a day.

(also small semantic nitpick, but your car did come with a charger, its built in to the vehicle. the EVSE that connects it to a wall outlet is basically just a fancy extension cord. this is why they are so cheap)

Embeddedworks sells unlimited 750kbps service for $90/year. Its data only, no phone or SMS.

When I talked to them earlier this year they said there was potential to sell other data rates though nothing was as low as $2/month.

Unfortunately their plan is an IoT plan “Not Intended for Phones or Tablets” [0]

That’s exactly the issue - it’s a great plan, it’s just contractually stopped from being offered because a lot of people would potentially switch to that..! :)

To me, the fact that the restriction exists is a proof of the demand for this.

Is it a restriction or just a disclaimer? "Not intended" doesn't necessarily mean "prohibited".

Yeah I'm on Verizon (via their Visible MVNO) and its ~$23/mo for unlimited data. Zero complaints on coverage or speeds.

Visible here, as well. I've been paying $25.00 per month, flat (no extra fees/taxes) for years.

It's perhaps worth noting for others that there are 3 different tiers of service with Visible, ranging from $25 to $45 -- although all 3 are "unlimited."

(I can't tell the difference between them, myself, with my phone in my use.)

The environment we live in and the foods we eat are hardly sterile.

There is also a significant microbiome on your skin.

> The best companies certify the count of organisms at time of manufacture

The best companies certify the viable count at expiration, I've seen many that do.

There is a difference between probiotics in live culture and shelf stable products but both can be viable methods of delivery.
