not at all. there is no encryption that can save you when one of the legitimate participants is somehow compromised. doesn't even need to be a sophisticated device compromise, literal shoulder surfing does that too.

My current car has keyless entry and start, and I don't really miss having to insert the key and turn the ignition. And I especially don't miss those ignition switches that were mounted on the side of the steering wheel where it was impossible to see the keyhole. At least the start button on my dash is in an easily visible spot.
I get the feeling that most of these GitHub downtimes are during US working hours, since I don't remember being impacted them during work. Only noticed it now as I was looking up a repo on my free time.
